What is a call-to-action button?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Call-to-Action is an opportunity to take your visitors to a step forward to become a customer. Call-to-Action button is the most important part of a sales funnel. Many times a potential customer may be looking for an action to be performed after going through the site content & skipping the CTA is a grave mistake. The calls to action serve as a link between a visitor & a conversion.<\/p>\n

Once visited the site, mostly, within 7 seconds the visitor decides whether to stay on the site or not hence it is important to design the CTA button considering the kind of people visiting your site and tailor the needs accordingly.<\/p>\n

A site can have many Call-to-Action buttons or just one or none at all. It all depends upon the goals of the company.<\/div>\n

For example, I am running an internet marketing company & I offer many services such as Web Designing, SEO, Social Media Promotion, Paid Ads etc. A visitor may be looking for all of the services or some or just one. Mostly, visitors will have their first interaction with home page and they are most likely to click if CTA button is placed properly on the banners.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

CTA button can be placed above the fold if your offer is straightforward & required no reading or understanding otherwise if it is complex and if the visitor has to read and digest your information before they can make any decision then positioning the call to action below the fold will yield good results.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Just having a CTA is not enough to attract the visitors, hence need to make sure that it has an eye catching design considering all the other aspects of the page including the background color, used site colors and CTA’s should be good in size with a compelling text on the button. Here are some guidelines for having a greatly designed Call-to-Action Buttons.<\/div>\n

    Use highly contrasting colors than surrounding colors such as red, blue, orange, yellow, pink & green.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    CTA button should look like it is clickable. While hovering different color and effects can be given to make it more attractive.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n

      If there is a text above or beneath the button then it should have enough space between the buttons so that the button stands out.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      Complementary border can be provided if needed.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Large texts should be provided for better visibility.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      Call-To-Action button texts should be simple & effective.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      Button should sense an urgency like join now, immediately, expires today etc.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      Depending upon the requirement two CTA buttons can be placed , one for primary goal and the other for secondary. In this case the primary CTA button should be highlighted For example “Get Started” & “Contact Sales” as shown below.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
